Kelly Clarkson
I added this as per a request. The person who requested Kelly Clarkson quite rightly pointed out that Kelly Clarkson is a great role model as she says she is naturally a curvy girl so the pressure she used to be under to lose the weight totally wasnt her, and now she is happy again being curvy (far right in her days of pressure to be thin!) Personally i dont really beleive she is happy being this size!!! do you?

No CommentsWhat is Nicole richie’s weight loss secret?
Nicole spoke out to a famous magazine recently, blaming her relationship break up on her massive weight loss. But we at Whole Body Workshop are not quite buying that story. She then went on a US talk show and said that it was due to stress. Fact is a lot of people actually gain weight under stress whereas Nicole said that she loses weight whilst stressed. If you had photographers following you every day, looking for something wrong with you to write about, that can’t feel good at all can it?
So is Nicole’s secret to weight loss the fault of the paparazzi? Fact is that nowadays Nicole is doing better, at least in the sense that she is no longer losing weight.
Our philosophy at Whole Body Workshop is to watch celebrities like Nicole because believe it or not, even though we don’t agree with eating less per se, people like her can show you the way. Our products have worked for people like Nicole i.e. whether you need to eat more or less the CHOICE is yours and our product content reveals all the answers you need. No CommentsHow will weight loss affect you as a person?
Weight Loss Psychology can help you to overcome many mental obstacles that are keeping you overweight. The general approach to losing weight is quite simply to reduce the number of calories you eat and increase the number of calories you burn by exercising. Its that simple. Most of us have all the reasons in the world to change something about ourselves but inevitably never seem to get round to it and therefore we are consistently ‘almost’ getting in shape. For a number of reasons we spend our life getting on and off the weight loss merry-go-round, wasting time, starting, stopping, and lying about our behaviour which includes making excuses and forever waiting for that right time to start (which never comes), getting frustrated, complaining about our genetics and generally being miserable. Creating physiological change whether it is to get bigger, smaller, faster, fitter, lighter or leaner seems to be more about our head than it is about our body. The weight loss process isn’t as much about dumbbells, treadmills and carbohydrates as it is about attitude, thinking, beliefs, passion, self-control, decisions, standards and habits. Whole body workshop was named as such so that we could endeavour to provide anything whatsoever relevant to the body and mind. Everyday people want everyday solutions. Primarily, the website and the products within it are related to weight loss but with a continued effort we can assist those that need that extra push, whether it is with the mind or the body. We believe that psychology of weight loss is extremely important because it provides a foundation from which you can work from, very similar to the lifestyle challenges within ‘Visualise The New You’ book. Practically anyone can lose weight but those who manage to keep it off are a rare breed. Theirs is not an entirely mysterious phenomenon, they stay slim by maintaining the behaviours that got them there in the first place. They eat healthier foods, decrease portion sizes and exercise. But how, exactly, do they keep it up? The answer suggests a psychological overhaul as much as a physical one.

No CommentsWhy do people fail at weight loss and what are the risks?
Conventional diets just don’t work. Approximately five out of six people who try to lose weight fail, and a very high percentage of those who do succeed in losing weight gain all the weight back within two years. If you drop your calories and go hungry, forcing your body to lose weight, your body will fight back. This is your bodies built in “intelligence.” It reacts as if you are starving your body and will do everything it can to preserve your fat. When you lose weight by starving yourself, you lose important muscle, bone, fluids, and even vital organ mass. What is not widely known is that the risk of health problems starts when someone is only very slightly overweight, and that the likelihood of problems increases as someone becomes more and more overweight. Many of these conditions cause long term suffering for individuals and families. In addition, the costs for the health care system can be extremely high. What people need to ask themselves is “how long did it take me to put this weight on?” And the answer is more than likely going to be “over a long period of time.” The difference being that most people don’t even notice the weight “creeping” up before it’s actually too late and when it comes to losing it, they all of a sudden expect to actually see it disappearing before their very eyes and because they don’t, they give up because it’s taking too long.
Whatever attempts people have tried in the past to lose weight, they have either been lied to or they have demanded too much weight loss too soon and, therefore, the expectations have been set far too high. The time that it took to put on weight would ultimately have depended on how active that person was during that period of weight gain and the probability would be that they were quite active at a younger age, therefore it would have taken a long time to put it on and, unfortunately, they are now more than likely living an inactive lifestyle. In short, your body is too smart for short-term quick fixes to ever work because your body will always fight back to maintain a natural balance or, as it is called, “homeostasis.” For every crash diet you go on or diet pill you take, there will always be an equal or greater valley or low point, which basically means that if you over stimulate, your body can respond by slowing down your natural metabolic rate (i.e. your body’s fat burners) to compensate. As a result, when you stop the diet or using the stimulant, your metabolism is slower than ever and you gain back any weight you lost and more. Those people with what we call “quick fix disease” want to take a pill, go to sleep and wake up skinny. These people are forever on a quest to bypass hard work and find short cuts to health and fitness goals that normally take months or years to attain.
